Tony Blair -artist rat (deceased)
Helena Seget recently gained international media coverage, as the agent of artist rat Tony Blair. 'Tony was a rat and an artist. From a young age he created paper cuts from reclaimed paper and, as his work developed, began to include foliage, fabric and electrical cables. Blair began to work in clay in June 2007, making impressions and sculpting. He went on to collaborate with housemates, Gordon Brown and ‘Shy Boy’ Archangel Gabriel, to produce a series of avocado sculptures before branching out into culinary expressions, in the form of repackaged spaghetti and noodles'. Look beyond the media savvy playfulness though, and Helena, (and Tony's work is suprisingly sensitive, and in many cases beautiful). We especially like these Rat Run Tiles: Produced from porcelain, which is gently polished after firing. Entertaining as floor tiles, wall art and a table runner.
